We all like or would like to have our things well organized in our home. And sometimes organizing things or getting rid of things that we apparently do not use is usually somewhat complicated. In my case, I store a lot of materials to make different crafts. It does not mean that I use them all the time, but at some point some craft arises where they are required and for the same reason I do not get rid of them. / A todos nos gusta o gustaría tener nuestras cosas bien organizadas en nuestro hogar. Y a veces él organizar las cosas o deshacernos de cosas que aparentemente no utilizamos suele ser algo complicado. En mi caso, guardo muchos materiales para realizar distintas manualidades. No significa que los use todo el tiempo, pero en algún punto surge alguna manualidad dónde se requieren y por lo mismo no me deshago de ellos.

For those who do not practice this tradition, the Three Wise Men Day is celebrated on January 6th and is a Spanish and Mexican tradition. / ¡Qué rápido se fue el año! Pensar que estamos a solo unos días de que lleguen los Reyes Magos. Para aquellos ajenos a esta tradición, el día de los Reyes Magos se celebra el 6 de enero y es una tradición española y mexicana.

In 1987, Rommy Revson created the first scrunchie with the idea of creating a gentler version of the hair ties that were used back then. Within the years to come, scrunchies have been created in a variety of colors, patterns, fabrics, sizes and designs that can even include a bow. Scrunchies are super easy to make and very cheap, so you can create several of different colors and patterns to combine with all of your outfits. / Sabes que son las scrunchies? Las scrunchies son coleteros para el pelo que estuvieron muy de moda en los años 80’s y 90’s, pero luego perdieron popularidad, sin embargo reaparecieron alrededor del 2010. Estamos viviendo en tiempos muy estresantes, con la amenaza de poder enfermarnos con el coronavirus. A few days ago without much to do around the house, I got curious about which holidays are celebrated on April. For my surprise on April 7th, we celebrate International Beavers Day. For those who don’t know about beavers they are known for their ability to munch up trees, build dams, restore wetlands and prevent floods. As you can see beavers are very important for nature. / Hace unos días sin mucho que hacer en la casa tuve curiosidad por saber qué días festivos se celebran en abril. Para mi sorpresa el 7 de abril celebramos el Día Internacional de los Castores. Para aquellos que no saben acerca de los castores son conocidos por su capacidad de cortar árboles, construir presas, restaurar pantanos y prevenir inundaciones. Como puedes ver, los castores son muy importantes para la naturaleza.

Valentine’s Day is an annual holiday that takes place on February 14th and is celebrated all over the world, on this day we celebrate love. When we think of Valentine’s Day we imagine red and pink hearts, romance, chocolate and other sweets, flowers, romantic dinners, etc. We express our love with these different decorations, dates and gifts to our “valentines” on this day. / Se aproxima esa época del año en la que todos expresamos el amor que sentimos hacia los demás a través de diferentes formas de cariño, gestos y regalos. Es correcto, ¡ya casi es día de San Valentín! San Valentín es un día festivo celebrado cada año en el día 14 de febrero alrededor de todo el mundo, en este día festivo uno celebra el amor. Cuando pensamos en el día de San Valentín por lo general nos imaginamos corazones rojos y rosas, romance, chocolates y otros dulces, flores, cenas románticas, etc. A través de estas diferentes decoraciones, citas y regalos es como nosotros expresamos nuestro amor a nuestro “Valentin” en este día.

The Catholic Bible tells us about three gifts that were given to Jesus to pay tribute at birth: gold, incense and myrrh. Over time it was assumed that these were delivered by the three wise men from the East, whom are not mentioned as such in the bible, however today they are known as Melchor, Gaspar and Baltazar. / La biblia católica nos cuenta sobre tres regalos que se le entregaron a Jesus para rendirle tributo a la hora de nacer: oro, incienso y mirra. Con el tiempo se supuso que estos fueron entregados por los tres reyes magos del oriente, los cuales no son mencionados como tal en la biblia, sin embargo hoy en día son conocidos como Melchor, Gaspar y Baltazar.

Around the 19th Century a man known as St. Nicholas would hand over gifts to small children, this person became know as Santa Claus. Santa Claus is portrayed as a white bearded man who wears a long red coat, white cuffed red trousers, a black leather belt and black boots. As he became a legend his real story got modified, and he is now believed to live in the North Pole along with magical elves and 8 flying reindeer. Santa Claus’s sleigh is pulled by 8 flying reindeer which help him get to every children’s household around the world in Christmas night and deliver them a present. / Alrededor del siglo XIX un hombre que era conocido como San Nicolás le daba regalos a los niños pequeños, esta persona fue conocida como Santa Claus (Papá Noel). Papá Noel es retratado como un hombre con barba blanca que usa un largo abrigo rojo, pantalones rojos con puños blancos, un cinturón de cuero negro y botas negras. A medida que se convirtió en una leyenda su historia real se fue modificando y ahora se cree que vive en el Polo Norte junto con elfos mágicos y 8 renos voladores. El trineo de Papá Noel es tirado por 8 renos voladores que lo ayudan a llegar a la casa de todos los niños del mundo en la noche de Navidad y les entregan un regalo.

How many times have you had an idea of a t-shirt that had some sort of design you thought of or had in mind? Probably many times, and finding a similar one can be pretty hard and/or sometimes impossible. Even though there are millions of designs out there, there’s still the possibility of not finding what you are looking for. This is motive enough to get inspired and think about making it yourself. Besides, if you are not planning on investing a large amount of money on a t-shirt this could also be a great option. / ¿Cuántas veces has tenido una idea de una camisa que tenga algún tipo de diseño que hayas pensado o tenías en mente? Probablemente muchos, y encontrar uno similar puede ser bastante difícil o a veces imposible. A pesar de que hay millones de diseños todavía hay probabilidades de que no encuentres lo que estas buscando. Este es motivo suficiente para inspirarte y pensar en hacerlo tú mismo. Además, si no estas planeando invertir una gran cantidad de dinero en una camisa esta también podría ser una gran opción.
