Every year those who practice the Christianity or Catholicism celebrate the holiday of Easter, also known as Resurrection Sunday. This holiday commemorates the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, as described in the Bible; also, the week before Easter is referred to as “Holy Week”. These holidays do not always occur on the same date every year since the date is calculated based on a lunisolar calendar, which is similar to the Hebrew calendar; Easter has come to be on the first Sunday after the ecclesiastical full moon that occurs on or the soonest after March 21. / Cada año aquellas personas que practican el Cristianismo o el Catolicismo celebran el día de la Pascua, también conocido cómo Domingo de Resurrección. Este día festivo conmemora la resurrección de Jesucristo de la muerte, cómo lo describe la Biblia; también, la semana antes del día de la Pascua se le conoce como Semana Santa. Estos días festivos no siempre ocurren en la misma fecha todos los años, ya que esta fecha se calcula en base a un calendario lunisolar, el cual es similar al calendario Hebreo; la Pascua por lo general es el primer domingo después de la luna llena eclesiástica que ocurre el 21 de marzo o lo más pronto posible.
Easter is also celebrated by those who don’t have the same religious views, in fact this holiday has become more about gathering with your family, believing on the Easter bunny and going on an egg hunt for the eggs that the Easter bunny brought. The egg hunt is usually an activity for children, but anyone can join! During this activity several eggs are hidden around a certain area and the children have to find them, they will collect the eggs that they find and they will place them in a basket; these eggs are typically dyed or painted, filled with candies or chocolate, etc. Once all eggs are found everyone will gather around and share how mane they found, sometimes prices are awarded to the person who found the most eggs. / El día Pascua también es celebrado por aquellas personas que no tienen las mismas ideas religiosas, de hecho este día festivo se ha convertido más sobre reunirse con la familia, creer en el conejo de Pascua y participar en la búsqueda de los huevos de Pascua que trajo el conejo de Pascua. La búsqueda de huevos de Pascua por lo general es una actividad para niños, ¡pero cualquiera puede participar! Durante esta actividad se esconden varios huevos alrededor de cierta zona y los niños tienen que encontrarlos, ellos recogerán los huevos que encuentren y los pondrán en una canasta; por lo general estos huevos están pintados o teñidos, rellenos con dulces o chocolates, etc. Una vez que todos los huevos sean encontrados todos se juntaran nuevamente y compartirá cuantos huevos encontraron, a veces a la persona que encontro la mayor cantidad de huevos se le llega a dar un premio.
