A facemask has become the most important accesory in our every day life. We are living through stressful times with the threat of getting sick with the coronavirus. This is why we must be very careful and give it the importance it deserves, we need to be protected at all times and especially when we are leaving home or talking with other people. The face masks and constant hand washing are essential for staying protected. / Los cubrebocas se han convertido en el accesorio más importante de nuestro día a día. Estamos viviendo en tiempos muy estresantes, con la amenaza de poder enfermarnos con el coronavirus. Es por esto que debemos tener mucho cuidado y darle la importancia que se merece, necesitamos estar protegidos en todo momento y sobre todo cuando estemos saliendo de casa o conviviendo con otras personas. Parte esencial para estar protegidos es el cubrebocas y el constante lavado de manos.
Face masks substantially reduce the chances of getting infected, which is why everyone should use them. This disease is expected to be with us for a long time. The use of disposable face masks has increased contamination worldwide, as well as being a point of infection for those who come across them. That is why I wanted to share this tutorial with you. If we want to contribute to helping the environment and reducing waste then we can adopt the use of a washable face mask. It is quite comfortable and easy to do. The best part is that you don’t have to invest on disposable face masks from time to time. / Los cubrebocas reducen sustancialmente las posibilidades de quedar contagiado, es por esto que todos lo deben utilizar. Esta enfermedad se tiene prevista que este con nosotros durante un largo tiempo. El uso de cubrebocas desechables ha incrementado la contaminación en el mundo, además de que son un punto de infección para aquellos que se topen con estos. Por eso les quise compartir este tutorial. Si queremos contribuir a ayudar al medio ambiente y reducir el desperdicio podemos adoptar el uso de un cubrebocas lavable. Es bastante cómodo y fácil de hacer. La mejor parte es que no tienes que estar invirtiendo en comprar cubrebocas desechables.

- Cotton fabric / Tela de algodón
- Sewing machine / Maquina de coser
- Elastic bands / Bandas elásticas
- Thread / Hilo
- Scissors / Tijeras
- Pencil / Lápiz
- Paper / Papel
- Pins / Alfileres
- Needle / Aguja
Steps / Pasos:
This is the pattern you will need to draw on your paper, as you can see it is really simple and if you follow the measurements you shouldn’t have any problem. / Este es el patrón que vas a necesitar pintar en tu papel, como podrás ver es bastante sencillo y si sigues las medidas no deberás tener ningún problema.
*TIPS* / *CONSEJOS*
- I would suggest you use a thin elastic, this way it will be more confortable for your ears after wearing it for a long period of time. / Les recomendaría utilizar un elástico delgado, ya que de esta forma les será mucho más cómodo para sus orejas después de largos periodos de uso.
- The fabric has to be made out of cotton, because these are the fabrics that are recommended for face masks. / La tela tiene que ser de algodón, ya que este es el tipo de tela recomendada para hacer los cubrebocas.
