Gift wrapping is such an important craft, we want people to be surprised when they open their gifts. We want them to feel excited, and wrapping gifts helps us create these feelings. Yet, we sometimes end up running out of creative ideas on how to wrap them or spending too much money in doing so. / Envolver regalos es una manualidad muy importante, queremos que la gente se sorprenda cuando abran sus regalos. Queremos que se sientan emocionados y el hecho de envolver los regalos nos ayuda a crear estos sentimientos. Sin embargo, a veces se nos termina la imaginación en cuanto a la envoltura de los regalos o al contrario terminamos gastando mucho dinero para hacerlo.

In this blog I will show you a great wrapping idea in case you need some inspiration for wrapping your gifts. / Esta es la razón por la cual amo utilizar nuestra creatividad para resolver este tipo de problemas y al mismo tiempo ahorrar dinero, mientras nos da un proyecto de manualidad increíble.

This way you can evaluate your options and put your hands to action. / En una de las entradas pasadas que escribí les muestro dos ideas adicionales sobre cómo envolver regalos que les pueden ser útiles, las pueden checar también. De esta manera pueden evaluar sus opciones y poner sus manos en acción.

Gift wrapping ideas / Ideas para envolver regalos

What materials do you need? / ¿Qué materiales necesitan?

• Kraft paper / Papel Kraft
• Different colored paper / Papel de diferentes colores
• Scissors / Tijeras
• White glue / Resistol blanco
• A string can be yarn / Un cordón puede ser estambre
• Tape / Cinta adhesiva

Steps / Pasos:

1. The first step is to wrap your gift with Kraft paper. / El primer paso es envolver tu regalo con papel kraft.

2. Then, take a piece of your string and wrap it around your gift leaving some space just like the image below. / Después toma el pedazo de cordón y envuélvelo alrededor de tu regalo dejando espacio así como en la foto de abajo.

3. Now we have to make the colored triangles that will hang on the string. So take a piece of color paper and cut a large rectangle. Once we cut the rectangle fold it in half. Then cut out triangles with the paper folded, taking into consideration that the folded edge is the base of the triangle. We want to use the triangles that have the folded edge, we can discard the rest. / Ahora tenemos que hacer los triángulos de colores que colgarán de la cuerda. Así que toma un pedazo de papel de color y corta un rectángulo grande. Una vez que cortamos el rectángulo, dóblalo por la mitad. Luego, corta los triángulos con el papel doblado, teniendo en cuenta que el borde doblado es la base del triángulo. Queremos usar los triángulos que tienen el borde doblado, podemos descartar el resto.

4. Take one of your triangles and place the folded edge in between the cord, then place a bit of glue inside the triangle and fold it close so that it holds together. We will do this same procedure for each triangle. The idea is to mix the colors so that is stands out. / Toma uno de tus triángulos y coloca el borde doblado entre el cordón, luego coloca un poco de pegamento dentro del triángulo y dóblalo para que se mantenga unido. Haremos este mismo procedimiento para cada triángulo. La idea es mezclar los colores para que destaque.

Once we have finished you can make a small card to go along with your gift or whatever you decide. Not only will your gift look amazing, but it will stand out from the rest.
