With all the stress we are living nowadays due to the Coronavirus we probably feel frustrated, sad and annoyed of being stuck at home. Many people have been taking advantage of this time to improve their cooking skills, make some crafts, do home exercise, etc. / Con todo el estrés que estamos viviendo hoy en día debido al Coronavirus probablemente nos sentimos frustrados, tristes y molestos de estar atrapados en casa. Muchas personas han aprovechado este tiempo para mejorar sus habilidades culinarias, hacer algunas manualidades, hacer ejercicio en su casa, etc.
Pets are our best friends, they are truly faithful to us and wait for us to get home after work with the best attitude everyday. Sometimes we do not have the time to reward them by taking them out for a walk or a run, but now that we do have some time you could show them your appreciation by baking them some peanut butter cookies! / Las mascotas son nuestros mejores amigos, nos son verdaderamente fieles y esperan que lleguemos a casa después del trabajo con la mejor actitud todos los días. A veces no tenemos tiempo para recompensarlos llevándolos a caminar o correr, pero ahora que tenemos tiempo ¡puedes mostrarles tu aprecio horneándoles algunas galletas de mantequilla de maní!
It is a very simple recipe and it will only take you a few minutes. I know your dog will truly love them. / Es una receta muy sencilla y solamente te tomara unos minutos. Se que a tu perro realmente le encantarán.
Ingredients / Ingredientes:
- 1 egg / 1 huevo
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder / 1 cucharada de polvo para hornear
- 2 cups of flour / 2 tazas de harina
- 1/3 cup of peanut butter / 1/3 de crema de cacahuate
- 1 cup of water / 1 taza de agua
Steps / Pasos:
1. Start by preheating the oven to 160ºC / Empieza precalentando el horno a 160ºC
2. In a bowl mix the baking powder with the flour. / En un tazón mezcla la harina con el polvo de hornear.
3. With a spoon and a measuring cup measure the right amount of peanut butter and pour it into another bowl. / Con una cuchara y una taza medidora mide la cantidad correcta de crema de cacahuate y viértelo en otro tazón.
4. Add the cup of water little by little as you mix it. You need to stir well, so that you end up with a liquid cream. / Añade la taza de agua poco a poco conforme lo vas mezclando. Necesita revolverse bien, de tal forma que quede una crema líquida.
5. Pour half of the peanut butter mixture onto your other bowl and mix. / Vierte la mitad de la mezcla de crema de cacahuate en el otro tazón y mézclalo.
6. Add the egg and the other half of the peanut butter mix, and mix them together. / Añade el huevo y la otra mitad de la mezcla de mantequilla de cacahuate, mézclalos juntos.
7. Spread the dough over a baking tray and put it in the oven. Let it cook for 15 minutes. The dough is a little sticky, my recommendation would be to empty the whole mixture from the beginning in the baking tray and from there expand it to occupy the rest of the tray equally. / Extiende la masa sobre una bandeja para hornear y métela en el horno. Déjalo cocinar por 15 minutos. La masa esta un poco pegajosa, mi recomendación sería vaciar toda la mezcla desde el inicio en la bandeja de hornear y de ahi ampliarla para ocupar el resto del molde de forma equitativa.
8. As soon as you take if out of the oven, grab your cookie cutter and make the shape that you want your cookies to have. It is easier to do it while they are still warm. In my case I used a bone shaped cookie cutter. / Tan pronto como lo saques del horno toma tu corta galletas y dale la forma que le quieras dar a las galletas. Es más fácil hacer esto cuando esta caliente. En mi caso utilice un cortador de galletas con forma de hueso.
