Are you the kind of person who usually finds yourself looking for your notes around the house or office? Maybe some kind of important documents, invitations, or such. Sometimes there is only so much information we can retain in our memory, so we resort to post-its or paper to write things down. Yet, if we are not very organized then we might find ourselves loosing these notes or important documents. / ¿Eres el tipo de persona que generalmente se encuentra buscando sus notas en la casa u oficina? Tal vez algún tipo de documento importante, invitaciones entre otros. A veces solo podemos retener una cierta cantidad de información en nuestra memoria, por lo que recurrimos a post-its o papel para escribir las cosas. Sin embargo, si no somos muy organizados, podríamos perder las notas o documentos importantes.
But there is always a solution especially if you are willing to craft one! A memo board is a board that will help you get control of all your loose notes by keeping them on one place. This way your space will be kept organized as well as your notes. A memo board can also be used as a picture or memories board, therefore it is a great idea for a romantic gift, just place your lovely pictures with your partner or things that have a sentimental value like movie tickets, concert tickets, etc. Since Valentine’s day is right around the corner, maybe this is what you where looking for. / ¡Pero siempre hay una solución, especialmente si estás dispuesto a crearla! Un tablero de notas es un tablero que te ayudará a controlar todas tus notas sueltas manteniéndolas en un solo lugar. De esta manera, tu espacio se mantendrá organizado así como tus notas. Un tablero de notas también se puede usar como un tablero de imágenes o recuerdos, por lo tanto, es una gran idea para un regalo romántico. Simplemente coloca tus hermosas fotos con tu pareja o cosas que tengan un valor sentimental como entradas para el cine, entradas para conciertos, etc. Tal vez esto sea lo que estabas buscando, ya que San Valentín esta a la vuelta de la esquina.
These are the materials you need / Estos son los materiales que necesitas:
- Ruler / Regla
- Wood board (any size or shape you want) / Tabla de madera (del tamaño o forma que quieras)
- Hammer / Martillo
- Nails / Clavos
- Paint brush / Pincel
- Any acrylic color (this will be for the small phrase on the top of our board) / Cualquier color de pintura acrílica (esta será para la pequeña frase que era en la parte superior de nuestra tabla)
- Yarn / Estambre
- Wood clips / Pinzas de madera
Steps / Pasos:
1. Start by painting any phrase you want at the top of the board. In my case I wrote “be happy” and painted some hearts to go along. With a ruler and a pencil we are going to divide the board on the amount of pins we want to place. For my board I just marked each point right across each other and measured the same length down. This way you have some points on the left and right side of the board. / Comienza pintando cualquier frase que desees en la parte superior del tablero. En mi caso escribí “be happy” y pinté algunos corazones para acompañarlo. Con una regla y un lápiz vamos a dividir el tablero en la cantidad de clavos que queramos colocar. Para mi tablero, simplemente marqué cada punto frente al otro y medí la misma longitud hacia abajo. De esta manera tendremos algunos puntos en el lado izquierdo y derecho del tablero.
2. Now we can start placing each nail on the correct place. Make sure it stays fixed. / Ahora podemos comenzar a colocar cada clavo en el lugar correcto. Asegúrate de que permanezca fijo.
3. Once we finish putting the nails, we will take our yarn and make a small knot in any of the nails from the corner of the board. Then we can start interlacing the yarn so that it passes through the center of the board. / Ya que terminemos de poner los clavos, tomaremos nuestro estambre y le haremos un pequeño nudo en cualquiera de los clavos de la esquina del tablero. Después podemos comenzar a entrelazar el estambre de tal forma que pase por centro del tablero.
4. Now you can place some nice wood clips and hang your notes or pictures. / Ahora puedes colocarle unas bonitas pinzas de madera y colgar tus notas o fotografías.
