Colored Corona bottles DIY / Botellas Corona con color DIY

Over the years I have had an impressive amount of glass bottles, I don’t know if it’s the shape of the bottles or the material that attracts me to want to stay with most of them. In addition, those who like design know how beautiful they can be as decoration. / A lo largo de los años he llegado a tener una cantidad impresionante de botellas de vidrio, no se si es la forma de las botellas o el material lo que me atrae a querer quedarme con la mayoría. Además a quienes les gusta el diseño saben lo bonitas que se pueden ver como decoración.

There are so many products that we consume on a day-to-day basis that are packed inside bottles or glass jars and I always wonder why throw them away when maybe we could find them other uses? You just need to turn them into crafts so you can give them the design or style you’re looking for. / Hay tantos productos que consumimos en el día a día que vienen empacados dentro de botellas o botes de vidrio y siempre me pregunto el ¿por que tirarlas cuando quizá les podríamos encontrar otros usos? Sólo necesitas convertirlas en una manualidad para que le puedas dar el diseño o estilo que estas buscando.

You may not be a fan of bottles like me, but maybe you are interested in recycling and using finding them other uses instead of generating more garbage. There are many crafts we can do with bottles. In this tutorial I will show you how to paint Corona bottles to use them as vases in your parties. / Quizá no seas fanática de las botellas como yo, pero a lo mejor te interesa la parte de reciclar y darle otro uso a los objetos en lugar de generar más basura. Hay muchas manualidades que podemos hacer con botellas. En este tutorial les enseñare como pintar botellas de Corona para utilizarlas como jarrones en tus fiestas.

What materials do you need? / ¿Qué materiales necesitas?

• Corona bottles / Botellas de Corona
• Acrylic paints / Pínturas acrílicas

Steps / Pasos: 

1. The first step will be to clean your Corona bottles perfectly and let them dry. You need to make sure the inside of the bottles are completely dry before starting our craft, if not it can affect the way the paint sticks to the inside of the bottle. / El primer paso será limpiar perfectamente las botellas de Corona y dejarlas secar. Debes asegurarte de que el interior de las botellas esté completamente seco antes de comenzar esta manualidad, de lo contrario puede afectar la forma en que se adhiere la pintura al interior de la botella.

2. Pour the paint into the bottle, rotate the bottle slowly to spread the paint and cover all the parts evenly. Place the amount of paint you see necessary. / Vierte la pintura en la botella, rota la botella lentamente para esparcir la pintura y cubrir todas las partes equitativamente. Echa la cantidad de pintura que sientas necesaria. 

3. Place the bottle upside down on some disposable material, and let it dry. I left it one day to dry to ensure the paint dried completely. / Coloca la botella boca abajo sobre algún material desechable, y déjala secar. Yo la deje secar por lo menos un día para asegurar que se secara la pintura por completo.

I would recommend choosing very bright colors, they give the Corona bottles a striking appearance. In my case this are the colored bottles I painted, the green color was a bit hard to get since it was a bit transparent. So I had to pour a second round of paint to make sure it was totally green. Other than that, the rest was pretty simple and they will look amazing on upcoming celebrations. En mi caso, estas son las botellas de colores que pinté, el color verde fue un poco difícil de pintar ya que era un poco transparente.
