How many times have we thrown things away just because they got rusty? Well you don’t really have to thrown them away and invest on new items, you just have to remodel them. In this blog I am going to show you how I turned a rusty fruit basket into a chrome colored. The idea is to take this case as inspiration for remodeling other items in your house. / ¿Cuántas veces hemos tirado las cosas solo porque se han oxidado? Realmente no tiene que tirarlos e invertir en nuevos artículos, solo tiene que remodelarlos. En este blog, les mostraré cómo convertí una canasta de frutas oxidada en un color cromado. La idea es tomar este caso como inspiración para remodelar otros artículos en su casa.
Materials needed / Materiales necesarios:
- Item that you are going to remodel, in this case a fruit basket / Artículo que vamos a remodelar, en mi caso una canasta de frutas
- Chrome color spray paint / Pintura en aerosol color cromo
Steps / Pasos:
1. Clean the item you are going to paint, we don’t want to have dust on it. / Limpia el artículo que vamos a pintar, no queremos que tenga polvo.
2. We are going to place some newspapers or paper underneath our basket and spray paint it. / Vamos a poner algunos periódicos o papel abajo de nuestra canasta y vamos a pintar la canasta.
3. Hang it and leave it to dry for around 5 to 10 minutes. / Cuélgala y déjala secar por alrededor de 5 a 10 minutos.
4. Place it back in your home where it belongs and you’re done! That was easy right? And don’t you just love how it looks now? / Colócalo nuevamente en tu casa donde pertenece, eso fue fácil, ¿verdad? ¿Y no te encanta cómo se ve ahora?
