“The earth laughs in flowers”- Ralph Waldo Emerson. Flowers bring happiness and more depending on the ocassion you receive them or buy them. Do you like flowers, but hate changing them or watching them die? Why not make some paper ones? / “La tierra se ríe en flores” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. Las flores traen felicidad y más dependiendo de la ocasión en que las recibas o compres. ¿Te gustan las flores, pero odias cambiarlas o verlas morir? ¿Por qué no hacer unas de papel?
Materials / Materiales:
- Scisssors / Tijeras
- Green color paper / Papel color verde
- Colored paper of your choosing / Papel del color que elijas
- Glue / Pegamento
Steps / Pasos:
1. Fold the paper of the color you have chosen (in my case orange) from the long part of the paper. Then cut it and fold a little the long edge of one of the sides./ Dobla el papel del color que hayas elegido (en mi caso de color naranja) de la parte larga del papel. Después córtala y dobla un poco la orilla larga de uno de los lados.
2. Cut the paper in straight lines up to the folded edge. It should look something like the picture below. / Corta el papel en líneas rectas hasta el doblez. Debería verse en la foto de abajo.
3. Using the scissors as a tool we are going to roll up each line of paper. / Utilizando las tijeras como herramienta vamos a enrollar cada línea de papel.
4. Taking the green paper we are going to fold by the smaller length of the paper and make sure the paper is much thicker in width than the orange we cut before. / Tomando el papel verde, lo doblaremos por el lado corto del papel hay que asegurarnos de que el de que el papel sea mucho más grueso que el naranja que cortamos antes.
5. Using the scissors once again, we are going to roll up the green paper in order to make the stem of our flower. / Usando las tijeras una vez más, vamos a enrollar el papel verde para hacer el tallo de nuestra flor.
6. Put glue along the remaining edge on your colored paper. And placing the stick on the end, we are going to roll the colored paper over our green stick. / Pon pegamento a lo largo del borde restante en tu papel de color. Y colocando el palo en el extremo, vamos a enrollar el papel de color sobre nuestro palo verde.
7. Cut a small rhombus on the green paper. Fold it in half and cut a small square in the middle of the folded part. We are going to pass the stem through the hole. And we are going to glue it to the stem in such a way that it holds on and it resembles plants. / Corta un pequeño rombo sobre el papel verde. Dóblalo por la mitad y corta un cuadrado pequeño en el medio de la parte doblada. Vamos a pasar el tallo por el agujero. Y vamos a pegarlo al tallo de tal forma que se sostenga y parezcan las plantas.
8. Cut 2 extra triangles to paste more plants on the stem. / Corta 2 triángulos adicionales para pegar más plantas en el tallo.
