Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I thought I’d help you out with some crafty romantic ideas. / Ya que el día de San Valentín se encuentra a la vuelta de la esquina. Pensé que sería buena idea ayudarles con algunas manualidades románticas.
Instead of making an ordinary letter, why not make one with some envelopes that include magical moments that you both lived? This is just one of many different options, it can also be used to make an envelope by month, year, etc. that you’ve been together and fill it with some memory. Or simply put a number of envelopes of your favorite moments. / En lugar de hacer una carta ordinaria, ¿por qué no una con unos sobres que incluyan momentos mágicos que han vivido? Esto es tan solo una idea, la misma puede ser aplicada para poner un sobre por mes, año, etc que han estado juntos y llenarla con algún recuerdo. O simplemente poner la cantidad de sobres de sus momentos favoritos.
What materials do we need? / ¿Qué materiales necesitamos?
- Different colored paper (thicker paper than normal) / Papeles de diferentes colores (un papel más grueso que el normal)
- Glue / Pegamento
- Scissors / Tijeras
- Marker / Plumón
Steps / Pasos:
1. We should start by making the number of small envelopes we are planning to use. In my case I will make 10 small envelopes. You should also consider the size, if you are planning to make many envelopes maybe they shouldn’t be as big as if you were going to make only a few. / Debemos comenzar por hacer la cantidad de sobres pequeños que queramos utilizar. En mi caso haré 10 sobres pequeños. También debes considerar el tamaño, si planeas hacer muchos sobres tal vez no deberían ser tan grandes como si fueras a hacer solo unos cuantos.

2. Once we have all the envelopes, we will take the colored sheet that will be our letter, in my case it’ll be yellow, and we’ll fold it in half. Having the shape of a letter we will paste the envelopes in columns on the right side of the paper. / Ya que tengamos todos los sobres, vamos a tomar la hoja del color que será nuestra carta, en mi caso color amarillo y la doblaremos a la mitad. Teniendo la forma de la carta, vamos a pegar los sobres en columnas del lado derecho del papel.
3. Once you are finished, you can write a message on the left side and fill the envelopes with small writings or pictures of your memories./ Una vez que hayas terminado, podrás redactarle un mensaje del lado izquierdo y llenar los sobres con pequeños escritos de tus recuerdos.
