Easy bear mug sleeve tutorial / Tutorial mango de oso para termo

Do you usually find yourself getting burned by your mug every time you fill it with coffee or tea? Why not make your mug a cute bear sleeve and forget about getting burned again. / ¿Usualmente te encuentras quemándote con el termo cada que te sirves café o té? Porque no hacerle a tu termo una manga de un bonito oso y olvidarte de que te quemes nuevamente.

In this tutorial you will learn how to make a bear sleeve for your mug. / En este tutorial aprenderemos a hacer una manga de un oso para tu termo.

Materials needed / Materiales necesarios:

• 3 colored felters: brown, pink and white / 3 colores de fieltro: café, rosa y blanco
• 2 thread colors: white and brown / 2 hilos de colores: blanco y café
• Scissors / Tijeras
• Needle / Aguja
• Paper / Papel
• Marker / Plumón

Time to start! / Hora de comenzar:

1. First we are going to start by drawing the shape of the sleeve we want on a paper. For the size of the length we can measure against the mug we want it for, or simply take a coffee sleeve from a coffee shop and use it as our reference. Don’t forget to include the ears on the sleeve shape. / Primero vamos a comenzar dibujando la forma de la manga que queremos en un papel. Para esto podemos medir el largo contra el termo para el cual lo queremos utilizar o simplemente tomar una manga de alguna tienda de café y utilizarla como referencia. No se te olvide dibujar la forma de las orejas dentro de la forma.

2. We are going to cut the shape out from the paper and pin it on our brown felter. It will serve as a guide to cutting 2 equal shapes to make our sleeve. / Vamos a recortar la figura del papel y la fijaremos en nuestro fieltro café. Este nos servirá como guía para recortar 2 formas iguales.

3. Once we have our 2 pieces cut out we are going to sew them together by the outline. / Una vez que tengas las dos piezas recortadas, vamos a proceder a coserlas juntas por el contorno.

4. Now with the pink felter we are going to cut 2 circles for the ears, and 1 oval for the mouth. With the white felter we will cut 2 smaller circles for the eyes and with the brown felter 2 smaller circles for the pupils. We can start by sewing the pupils to the eyes./ Ahora con el fieltro rosa vamos a recortar 2 círculos para las orejas y un ovalo para la boca. Con el fieltro blanco vamos a recortar dos círculos más pequeños para los ojos y con el fieltro café dos círculos para las pupilas. Podemos comenzar cosiendo las pupilas a los ojos.

5. With the brown felter we are going to cut the shape of the nose, and stitch it to the bears mouth. After stitching the nose, we will sew the shape of the lips with the thread. / Con el fieltro café vamos a recortar la forma de la nariz y coserla a la boca. Después con el mismo hilo vamos a coser la forma de los labios. 

6. Now with the brown thread we are going to sew all the parts to our sleeve. / Ahora con el hilo café vamos a coser todas las partes a nuestra manga. 

7. Once we are done, we are going to take both ends of our sleeve, pin them & sew them together. / Una vez que hayamos terminado, vamos a tomar los extremos de nuestro mango y coserlos juntos.
